You are bascially showing your expertise,as you answer relevant questions and help IMers get the needed help.

Basically , valuable answers to questions in LinkedIn Answers can also drive free targeted traffic to your website.

LinkedIn is similar to other social media networking sites, but the marked difference is that its focus is on building a professional online network for members.

LinkedIn encourages its users to create a network of business contacts.

These are generally contacts that are inter-discipline business people, although all of the niches,and respective businesses, have taken their brand online through Linkedin.

Keep in mind, that like Independent Business Owners , Linkedin can be a one person operation.

Consequently, the site will steer SBOs to you,
So you interface and interact with individual persons

SBos who make up their network are referred to as Connections. You can add connections by invitation. Even non-members may be invited.

A LinkedIn Company Page helps others learn more about your business, brand, products and services, and job opportunities.

Click the Work icon in the top right corner of your LinkedIn homepage.

Click + Create a Company Page.

Enter your Company Name and choose a URL. All Company Page URLs will structured as linkedin.com/company/[YOUR COMPANY NAME].

While the name of your Company Page doesn't need to be unique, the public URL for your page cannot be the same as one that exists on LinkedIn.

LinkedIn members and search engines will use this unique URL to find your page.

Check the verification box to confirm you have the right to act on behalf of that company in the creation of the page.

Click the Create page button.

If you don't have a confirmed email address associated with your LinkedIn account, you'll be prompted to add and verify your email address.

Click Get started on the welcome screen to begin editing your Company Page.

A red error message may appear if you have problems adding a Company Page.

Your Cover Photo should be about 1536x768 pixels.

To get to it from your Linkedin page, go to "me"pulldown on your personal page .

Connections Through Answers
Your connections can help you find mutual acquaintances in your niche network and other highly related networks.

LinkedIn can be used to find jobs or work opportunities, or hire trusted and highly capable individuals.

But SMOs and IMers need to find potential joint venture partners, investors, and achieve other online business goals.

Recall, most questions in LinkedIn are business-oriented. Also,people answering and asking questions, are Linkedin members who are active on the network.

From this perspective Linkedin becomes very similar to a forum.

Keep in mind, you'll need a "mutual connection" in order does not allow members to contact each other.

Basically, LinkedIn Answers is the vehicle through which you acquire connections.

Once people become familiar with you, they might even take the initiative and ask for a connection with you.

Obviously, your focus should be on significant problem solving value-add answers.

If you shoot for quantity, you can be perceived as a spammer.

The Internet Archive is now leveraging a little known, and perhaps never used, provision of US copyright law, Section 108h, which allows libraries to scan and make available materials published 1923 to 1941 if they are not being actively sold. Elizabeth Townsend Gard, a copyright scholar at Tulane University calls this “Library Public Domain.” She and her students helped bring the first scanned books of this era available online in a collection named for the author of the bill making this necessary: The Sonny Bono Memorial Collection. Thousands more books will be added in the near future as we automate. We hope this will encourage libraries that have been reticent to scan beyond 1923 to start mass scanning their books and other works, at least up to 1942
